These are some of tributes received following Ruth's death...

Fr Laurence wrote:  There is something extraordinarily fitting and beautiful that Ruth's last day on earth should be the feast of St Stephen, when all the liturgical language talks about this being a day of celebration of our Heavenly birthday. I have no doubt that this is a sign from God that Ruth is with Him.
Alistair wrote:  Aunt Ruth had so much knowledge and was so willing to share it. I had daydreams of my girls, when they were older, getting to spend time with Ruth in her workshop to experience some of her talents first hand and maybe even be inspired to take up some ideas for their own past times. That was not meant to be but the inspiration remains.
Judith wrote:  Ruth’s Inchmore workshop is just down the road from me and it was always a treat to visit, talking to her about colour was always a particular delight. I also have a number of her hats, beautifully designed and so warm. Today I went for a walk wearing one of them!
Bishop Peter wrote:  I was so sad year of Ruth's death. Some people who lose a spouse who is an artist find comfort in their works. Ruth's are embroidery fabrics and her wonderful vestments, happily worn and displayed, will remain a tribute to her for years to come.
Heather wrote:  Always in my mind, Ruth made the most wonderful coat (and hat) for me, a legacy to her amazing creativity and the warmest and most beautiful garment I have ever had. It was a joy to be with her and choose the colours.
Barbara wrote:  I feel like I have always known Ruth. It is very hard to imagine life without Ruth in it. Although we lived so far apart, I was able to see her regularly , either in Inverness or here, when she came down and styed during the vestment fairs.
