We fist met in January 1984 when you all took me under your wings when I couldn't get back to Wick because of the snow a blizzards for five days. Lots of happy times - lots of special family time also.

As we discussed with you both when we met a year or so ago on our cruise which stopped at Invergordon and you kindly took us out for the day to Dornoch, the first time we met had been many, many years before on a cruise to the Eastern Mediterranean, and we will never forget that meeting. I have five lovely wall hangings which she made in my flat in Sydney, Australia, which give me much pleasure. I always found Ruth warm, friendly, and inclusive. I am sure all her family and friends will find her passing a hard one to take, and winding up her beautiful business will not be easy.

Baked Gammon on well heated dinner plates and her wonderful Cranachan, the traditional Scottish whisky and oatmeal dessert, will be on our menu in her honour.
